O'Hara Nature Center, Educational Material Development
The work below represents an overview of the educational materials developed for the demonstration gardens located at the O'Hara Nature Center in Irvington, N.Y. The instructional materials developed to cover in detail each of the gardenβs functional and planting designs from plant characteristics, objectives, and functions of the garden to maintenance and soil requirements. The series of work was developed to provide the community, schools, and visitors with an attractive and detailed overview of the plants, their characteristics, and how homeowners and schools could take this information and apply this knowledge back into their environment. My role in the project was the chief developer and designer creating the educational materials for use and distribution among the various stakeholders; Irvington Parks and Recreation, O'Hara Nature Center, Irvington Woods, Irvington School District, residents, and visitors to the gardens.
