This community-based planting and land stewardship project builds on the success of deer exclosures at the eight educational gardens of the O’Hara Nature Center. By applying best practices learned there, the project protects new, established, and future tree plantings in select areas of Irvington Woods Park (251 acres) from the browsing of White-tailed deer. Additionally, middle and high school students actively contributed by designing, planting, and maintaining these sites, deepening their engagement in local environmental stewardship. πŸŒ±πŸŒ³πŸ€πŸŽ“
