π³ Agroforestry Grafting Overview: Cornell 2024 βοΈ
The following slides showcase an apple grafting session where Dr. Kenneth Mudge and I introduced students in the Agroforestry class to asexual propagation techniques. Focusing on grafting fruit and nut trees like apples, walnuts, cherries, and pears, the session combined a presentation and hands-on practice. Students learned about the significance of grafting in agriculture and its applications in plant science, environmental management, and agroforestry. By practicing bench and whip grafts with apple scionwood, they gained valuable skills and insights for future academic and professional endeavors.
